Well it's well been a long, long time since I have visited this little blog. I think I need to give it some attention. Give me a few weeks and I think I will get back at it.

This is Colin. He is due in February. I hope he can bake that long. I am thinking he will be here sometime in December or January.

I went for the big u/s today and we are having another little girl. The girls are going to rule the house. Poor Austin. It was real exciting getting to see her. She was moving all over the place. I think that is because I had my morning coffee drink and a bottle of o.j. right before the appointment. The doc said that everything looked great except my blood pressure is still a little high.

Here is how I am doing:
How far along? 20 weeks
Maternity Clothes? Yup...

Stretch marks? Yup...they are getting bigger.
Sleep? Great. But I am having some crazy dreams
Best moment this week? Finding out we are having a girl.

Movement: Tiny little kicks. Mostly in the evening when I am relaxing

What I miss? Beer

What I am looking forward to? Getting the room ready

No news is good news

It's been a while since I update this little old blog. I have been a little bit under the weather the last few months. But now I am feeling o.k. and have enough energy to give it another try. I am sure most folks know that we are expecting a new addition early November. We are really excited and Abby is very, very excited that she is going to be a big sister. She ask me everyday if the baby is here.

Even though I haven't been able to keep little old blog up we still have been keeping busy and having lots of fun. Here is just a peak of what we have been up to:

We planted a garden

Abby and I went to the Sparkleberry Fair

Abby turned 4 years old (my little baby is becoming such a big girl )

Abby and I went to cousin Steven's High School Graduation

And can you believe that a helicopter landed in Shawn's yard at Steven's graduation party and Abby went for ride. But if you ask Abby she enjoyed the slip and slide more.

We have also had friends stop through Columbia like Austin's childhood friend Laura and her family to attend her niece's play. We were lucky enough to have a quick lunch with them. (We took some pictures but they are still on Austin's camera). And last weekend , we were able to babysit Abby's boyfriend Graham and baby Sophie while there parents went to a wedding. Abby and Graham had a blast running around and playing while I was just in aw having a three month to hold. I think I was so excited having them here I forgot to picture's. I blame that on my pregnancy brain farts. I did get a few pictures of Sophie but I haven't been able to upload them yet.

Here is how I am doing so far with this pregnancy:

How far along? 18 weeks

Maternity Clothes? Yup....I have been in maternity clothes since around 8 weeks. I can't believe that since with Abby I didn't start showing until 20+ weeks.

Stretch marks? Yup...the lovely stretch marks that I was lucky to get with Abby are starting to grow.

Sleep? Pretty good right now. At the beginning of this pregnancy, not so much. I am really enjoying sleep right now.

Best moment this week? Going to Carter's outlet on Sunday and seeing all the great deals and finding the Fisher Price Nature Swing at the consignment shop which was a great find and great price.

Movement: Little flutters here and there.

Gender? ????- A few folks keeps telling me it's a boy but we will find out real soon, June 23rd.

Labor signs? Nope

What I miss? Feta Cheese

What I am looking forward to? Finding out the gender on June 23rd

Milestones? Making it 18 weeks :)

I will get Austin to take a picture of big fat belly when he gets home this weekend so you can see how fat I getting.

Getting ready for Spring

Last Saturday ( I know I am posting these backwards sorry) the weather here was fabulous. We went to Sesquicentennial State Park which is just a couple miles from where we live. It's a nice park to take the whole family. There is lots you can do there: picnics, walking trails, dog park, playgrounds, paddle boats and canoes. We let Abigail burn off some energy on the playground (of course) and then took her on the paddle boats.

This little guy followed us around. I think he thought we had some food. I felt kinda bad because we didn't.

Here are some of our crafts that we worked on to get the house ready for spring:

Sophie Grey Calhoun

Last Sunday we took the day to go and meet the newest member of the Calhoun Family. Her name is Sophie Grey Calhoun.

I wasn't happy with the way the blog was looking so I gave it a face lift. I think it turned out pretty good especially for not knowing what I was doing.

I've been bad blogger again. I really didn't mean too. I have just been real lazy.

First, let me update you on our weight loss or the lack thereof.

Week 4:

Kristina: 0

Austin: 0

Week 5:

Kristina: +2 (I am blaming this on that time of the month)

Austin: +1 (sympathy for me)

Actually, the last two weeks I went to the store I didn't have our meals planned. I just went to store having no idea what we were going to eat. This is a real bad idea. I end up buying not so healthy meals and lots of junk we don't need. This week I have everything planned. Problem is the last two nights we have tried two new "healthy" meals and both bombed. After last nights meal I had to make something yummy so we made these (only because I already had all the ingredients in the house). And yes they are very yummy. Tonight's dinner was so bad we both had to eat Chef Boyardee and some more of those yummy cookies. So again we are off to a bad start.

So what have we been up to? Other than eating bad. The weekend of the 31st I (alone no Daddy or Abby) went up to Greenville. It was one of my closest friends baby shower. And can you believe that 6 of 11 guest were also preggo. I made sure to stay far away from the water up there (just joking, Abby needs a sibling so I made sure to drink lots). After the baby shower we went to see Dar Williams. It was a great show. If she happens to come to your town you definitely need to check her out.

While I was up in Greenville, Daddy and Abby had a slumber party. They ate lots of junk food, watched movies and had lots of fun. Here are some pics and a video of there weekend:

A little painting to keep busy

In this video Abby does her now famous shake your booty dance. When ever she hears music or whenever she feels like it she breaks it out. Your lucky she didn't drop her pants which she does most days...:)

This past weekend we had spring fever. The temperature actually went up to 74. That was hard to believe because at the beginning of the week it was 20 degrees and I was bundled up in a scarf and hat. Since the weather was so nice we made sure to go out both days. Saturday we went down to River Front Park to walk the dog and let Abby ride her bike. Sunday we went to Finley Park to let Abby kick around her soccer ball and play. I am not sure if we are going back to Finley Park because there were lots of characters there (that's me being nice) and way too many kids on the play ground. It was way to hard to keep track of Abby and quite frankly scared me. Needless to say we had lots of fun. Road Trip

Another rainy Saturday. We started off the morning being really lazy. Why not? By the afternoon Abby started to get a little restless and wanted to go to the playground (I bet you couldn't of guessed that). Instead of going to McDonald's we headed down to the mall. She played for a little bit and then she decided that she wanted to ride the escalators. This was a good opportunity to get away from the playground and head over to Barnes and Noble to grab coffee, read some books and let Abby play with there train set. She was real nice and didn't steal a train from anyone. Then we headed home and had a yummy dinner.

When Abby and I got up Sunday morning @ 6:15 I decided that we were not staying in if it wasn't raining. We have been home the past few weekends and it was time for a road trip. While daddy was still sleeping Abby and I layed around, read some books and in honor of the snow this week we made some snow flakes.

All our markers are dried out except for the green so we couldn't get the cool tied dyed look. Oh well!!

We finally went and woke up daddy around 8:30 and told him that we were ready to go on a road trip. We decided on going to Charleston and off we went.

After gathering tons of seashells we left the beach and drove around downtown. We didn't get out because we plan on going back in a month or so. And before we left Charleston I had to go to Whole Foods because we don't have one in Columbia. We grabbed a few things, had a slice of pizza and back home we went.

Not so bad. They say that you are only supposed to loose 2-3 pds a week.

I have some bad news for everyone. Austin slipped up and smoked today. We have come to an agreement that the patch is not working and he is going to need wellbutrin. He has been having some emotional issues over the last few days.

Let me first say "I love heat". We finally got our heater fixed after it being on the edge of blowing up for the past two weeks. The first heater guy told us that we should just start saving our pennies because we needed a new machine. I had a funny feeling so after talking to my cousin's ex-husband (who is a heating/air man up in DC) we decided to get a second opinion. And you know what? They were able to fix it. Just in time, it is very, very cold here in SC. I moved back South to get away from this kind of weather.

Since it was cold and rainy we spent just about all weekend inside (except for the occasional trip to the grocery store and to McDonald's for Abby to play).

Here are some of the highlights of the weekend:

Last night while I was watching the previews for the next Biggest Loser they showed one of the contestant eating a donut. I thought to myself boy a donut would be so yummy and I would love to have a rasberry filled donut. But I know I wouldn't go out of my way to get one so I wasn't worried.
But to my suprise this morning when I called into work late my co-worker said "You better hurry b/c M is stopping by Krispy Cream because the "Hot and Ready" sign was on". What? I couldn't believe it.

Today Austin quit smoking. I really hope he goes through with it this time. He quit a few years ago for about three months and decided to start back up because he was going to a friends party.
You ask why I didn't quit with Austin? Well, I don't want to be divorced after only being married for 4 mnths. My time is coming real soon.

Crazy Diamond

Did anyone get to see the moon last night? They said it was going to be the biggest moon of 2009.

Austin and I were very excited to see it. We got our camera's and headed out. But to our disappointment it was to cloudy for us to see the sunset.

Later that night Austin went out and took some video of the moon. It was real cool. Since I was already in bed I kept asking him to take my camera and take some pictures. I could hear him and he was not going out. So I jumped out of bed and grabbed the camera. I've never had success taking pictures of the moon and was to lazy to get the tripod but I figured I would give it a try.

These aren't the best pictures but I thought they were pretty cool to share.

Getting back into the groove

After being out of work and daycare so much the past two weeks it was real hard to get back to normal.

And guess what? My sweet little princess turned into a monster.

The week started off with her stealing trains from a one year old at Books-A-Million. She was feeding the family dog just about everything. If we were not watching she would tell us that Cassey ate her food. Then she would want us to discipline Cassey. And through out the week her favorite word was NO....In one week she stole, lied and talked back.

By the weekend things calmed down. She was my sweet little princess again.

This week was all about the simple changes.

*Quick healthy meals to prepare during the week after working all day and toddler approved
*Less soda
*And lots and lots of water

The Dryer Shrunk My Pants

No, it really didn't. But that is what I kept telling myself over the holidays. Now that the holidays are over I need to get out of my dream world a get with it.

Since one of my favorite reality shows is starting tomorrow "The Biggest Loser" Austin and I are going to start our own contest at home. We did this before and I kicked his butt. But lately both of us slacked off and after a year and loosing 35 pounds I gained 15 pounds in the last four months. And before is spirals out of control we are going to put a stop to it.

So what are we going to do?

We are going to start going back to the gym. We are paying for the membership, so why not go.
Eat healthy.
Try to quit smoking.
NO MORE FAST FOOD.
And develop a "Healthier Lifestyle"as Austin puts it.

Each Friday I am going to post how much weight we lost for the week. I am going to do this because I believe this will keep us motivated and keep at it. Anyways, hopefully by the end of this year we will loose a tremendous amount of weight.

Last night I made Austin take some "fat" pictures so we can reflect back on how we looked at the beginning of our contest.

It was great being at home on Christmas eve and Christmas morning with Daddy and the little one. Abby and I had fun making cookies for Santa and fudge for our family to take on our round 2 VA Christmas tour.

Christmas in Virginia Round One

Not once this year but twice. Twice the fun, isn't they what they say :)

After enjoyning a night out we headed up to VA for round one of Christmas with Nana. We had a fabulous dinner at Aunt Terry's, opened up lot's and lot's of presents, and another long night of fun without Abby (Did I really just type that, two nights without the little one. That is unheard of). Nana couldn't resist and keep the grandbaby's over at Granny Betty's for the night while her two boys had lot's of fun.

Christmas Parade with the Schomps

We started off the holiday season visiting the Schomps to go to there town's Christmas Parade.

Before heading up there Abby and I made them some Sugar Cookies.

Once we made it up there we enjoyed some adult conversation while the kids played. Then we headed over to the parade. After finding the perfect spot we had some hot chocolate and watched the parade. The kids enjoyed getting candy from the parade folks. After the parade we headed over to the fire station for some cookies and crafts.

When we were done with all the parade activities we headed back to there house. We enjoyed a great dinner, Christmas Carols and wonderful birthday cake for me.....

Yes I sure have been a slacker. I really, really, really have tried several times to sit down and post new pics but something always comes up. I figured since I was up way past by bed time I might as well post some new pics of what we have been up too. And why am I up so late? Well I thought I would make some cupcakes for Abby's holiday party tomorrow. Which was a huge disaster. The bottoms of the cupcakes burnt. So I guess I will have to stop by the store and buy some before school tomorrow.

Here is what we have been up to:

We went to the State House to take our family picture for our Christmas Card this year. Here is one pic before I could jump in. They look so sweet.

Abigail decided that she wanted to run up the stairs to the State House instead of taking family pictures. So I had to go with the first picture of all of us for our cards.

Off to see Santa. This is what I get for going to see the free Santa's. Santa above, very scary. He was wearing high top Adidas. Bottom Santa, not so bad. Abigail didn't seem to care either way. She saw the man in red and was happy as can be.

She told Santa that she wanted a baby doll and Dora.

Fudge.....Oh do I love some fudge. For many years I have been scared to make fudge because my loving cousin Shawn said it was to hard. And I believed her. This year before I told her that I was making fudge I went ahead and gave it a try. Let's say I think I gained 15 pounds that week.

I think we are going a little crazy around here :)

Well this is just a peak of what we have been doing. Last weekend we went to visit the Schomp's up in Waxhaw, NC for there town's Christmas Parade. I can't wait to share those picture but I haven't been able to put them on the computer. We had such a great time. This weekend we are going to Virginia for round 1 of Christmas.

Thanksgiving 2008

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. We enjoyed this holiday at home this year with Uncle Tim. This was my second year making Thanksgiving dinner. I don't think last year counted because I bought the turkey at the Honey Baked Ham Co. And you know what? I think I did a pretty good job, only thing I need to work on was my time management.

Both pies were excellent but if one of us won it was Austin. The bottom crust of my pie didn't turn out that great. But for it being my first pie it wasn't that bad.

Friday, we took Abigail to her first movie. We decided to go see Bolt. It was a very cute movie (of what I saw, Abigail and I spent a lot of time in the bathroom). I think we will wait sometime before we go again.

It rained both on Saturday and Sunday. We spent all day Saturday inside.

Look at what we did:

Sunday we did ventured out to the mall for some lunch and to let Abigail play on the indoor playground. Poor kid was so excited to leave the house. At the mall we also listened to the singing bears and then we got a peak of you know who "Santa". That was a big mistake. Abigail did not want to leave until we convinced her that we would come back next weekend after finding her a pretty dress, hair cut and we had to write Santa a letter.

When we got home from the mall look who was waiting for us:

One of Santa's elf's. We named him Wish. He is going to report to Santa each evening to let him know if Abigail is naughty or nice.

It's getting cold in South Carolina

I am not sure what happened this past week but I think someone turned the a/c on outside. We are trying to stay warm and keep our belly's full. For some reason when it gets cold you start eating more.

This week we had Thanksgiving lunch with Abigail at her daycare. The ladies there made us a wonderful dinner. We finally got to meet Abigail's friend Colt who she talks about all the time.

Boing, Boing, Boing

OUR WEEK

Monday at school Abigail fell and hurt her head. And of course we had to put a band-aid on her boo boo. Austin and I had bets for how long the band-aid would stay on. The last band-aid was on for three weeks (or more). Finally Uncle Tim had to bribe her with a movie before she let us remove it. Amazingly we were able to remove this band-aid after three day's and it was her decision.

This week was spirit week at school. Here is Abigail wearing her crazy hat:

I finally cleaned out her cubby at school. Abigail was excited because I brought her bathing suite home. She was ready for the beach and some swimming.

Friday night we went to Target to get Graham's present. Abigail of course had to get something so we got her this Little Einstein puzzle.

Saturday off to Greenville to Graham's birthday party at Monkey Joe's. Before we knew it Abigail took off. We went after her and found her already climbing up the first slide with her shoe's in the middle of the floor for all to trip on. She had a great time bouncing and sliding.

At the party she had to sit next to Graham. I think she has a little crush.....

On the way home from the party we tried to listen to the South Carolina and Florida game. That is all I am going to say about that. To comfort us we stopped at Kroger and bought a brownie mix to make. That cheered us up a little.

Sunday was the best day of all. We started off just being lazy. Since it was chilly we all cuddled up in Mommy and Daddy's bed and read some books. After lunch and some shopping it was craft time.

Fall fun

Welcome!! Since everyone seems to be blogging I decided that I would give it a shot.

I thought this would be a good way for the family to see what we have been up to because we all live so far apart.

Last month we kept busy by taking a hike down at Riverfront Park here in Columbia. Such a fun place to take the little one and the dog.

We went on a haunted hayride at Harmon's Tree Farm in Lexington.

Abigail was such a cute witch for Halloween.

Went to Chimney Rock NC to see a little fall foliage.

This weekend we haven't been up to much except for watching South Carolina beat Arkansas at a local wings restaurant and then off to the Playground (Abigail's favorite).
